Episode 24: The Last Straw

April 24, 2020

We're heading into controversial territory with this episode folks... well, at least for Star Wars fans that is. That's right, we're talking The Last Jedi with our special guest, Jimmy Dice of the Scruffy Looking Podcasters! We talk about why the flick is so divisive amongst fans, what we liked, what we didn't, and ss a special bonus, we also manage to get into a Star Trek discussion as well.

Jimmy Dice is one of the co-hosts of Scruffy Looking Podcasters, which they describe as "a stuck-up, half-witted, Star Wars podcast -4 scruffy dudes on a weekly podcast covering Star Wars news and speculation."

- Relating to a pre-show discussion with the lads, here's an interview with comedian Bill Hicks talking about the worst gig he ever had. (NSFW for language)

- Relating to Tim's brew choice for this episode, the APA was a wrestling gimmick for a tag team that acted as a protection agency for other wrestlers. Trust us, it actually made sense at the time. Here they make a comeback in 2012 with Lita.

- Yeah, Darth Vader at the end of Rogue One was pretty badass, wasn't he?

- Here's the Scruffy Looking Podcasters episode where they rank their favorite Star Wars movies.

- Looks like a bunch of commentators have been tipping the picks at the NFL Draft for a while.

- Here's the news about Stellan Skarsgard in the new Star Wars series.

- Here's the Phasma comic that Jimmy Dice was talking about that takes place between The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

- Here's our episode talking about the depth of the Star Wars universe verses something like the MCU

- JIMMY DICE highly recommends the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

- TIM is very bullish on season one of Star Trek: Picard.

- TODD recommends going back and watching your favorite movies in black & white.
